Accreditations This is a list of our current accreditations. We make every effort to keep this list as accurate and detailed as possible as they change or become updated. Please check with your licensing or accrediting organization if you have any questions about specific accreditation in your local area for your profession. Nursing
Gannett Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Gannett Education has been honored by the American Nurses Credentialing Center with Premier Status and is the only for-profit entity to ever receive the Accreditation Premier Program Award. The ANCC stated: "The most obvious example of Nursing Spectrum CE's status as a model of learning excellence comes from the more than 250 healthcare organizations and systems that have contracted for access to Nursing Spectrum CE's educational activities for their nurses through CE Direct. Some organizations have been in this relationship for seven years or more, and the program has a 95% renewal rate." Gannett Education is also accredited by the Florida Board of Nursing (provider # FBN 50-1489) and the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider # CEP 13213). Audiologists The CE courses listed under the Audiologists category are intended for audiologists.
Dietitians The CE courses listed under the Dietitians category are intended for RDs and DTRs.Gannett Education is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider (#GD001) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Gannett Education is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certification Committee as an approved provider of continuing education (provider #A1074). Specified Gannett Education courses have been approved by the NSCA Certification Committee. The American College of Sport Medicine's Professional Education Committee certifies that Nutrition Dimension meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from 2010-2013 (provider #681205). Health Educators Gannett Education is a designated multiple event provider of continuing education clock hours (CECH) by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc., provider #CA0084, approval period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015. Exams received or completed online by December 31st, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th are reported to NCHEC by the 15th of the following month. Physical Therapists The CE courses listed under the Physical Therapists category are intended for PTs and PTAs. PT courses are provided by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Accredited Provider #GED012010TPTA2012004 for 1/1/2010 to 1/31/2013 and #1601004 for 2/01/13 to 01/31/16 and meet continuing competence requirements for physical therapist and physical therapist assistant licensure renewal in Texas. The assignment of Texas PT CCUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by TPTA or TBPTE. As of 4/5/10, Gannett Education is recognized by the Physical Therapy Board of California as an approved reviewer and provider of continuing competency courses for the state of California. Courses provided by Gannett Education are generally approved to meet the continuing education requirements for PTs and PTAs by the state physical therapy association or board of examiners for Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee and by reciprocity in Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana (except ethics course), Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, and South Carolina. Beginning 6/1/2013, Gannett Education will no longer submit courses to the Pennsylvania Board of Physical Therapy for approval. Pennsylvania will accept reciprocity so individual course approval by the board is no longer necessary. Because each course is approved separately and each group has different rules about the length of the approval and other details, please see each course for details of the approvals that apply to that course at any given time. Other states may accept these courses for meeting their CE requirements. Physicians Specified courses have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Louisville and Gannett Education. The University of Louisville is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing education for physicians. Gannett Education is also approved by the Florida Board of Medicine (provider # FBN 50-1489). Psychologists The CE courses listed under the Psychologists category are intended for Psychologists.
